Pregunte a cualquier fabricante cuáles son sus tres principales retos y es muy probable que encontrar y retener empleados figure entre sus respuestas.

MBI acordó recientemente asociarse con Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC) para ofrecer programas de aprendizaje auténticos y aprobados por el Departamento de Trabajo de los Estados Unidos (USDOL) para la industria.

En virtud del acuerdo, MAMC proporcionará toda la formación al fabricante, facilitará todo el plan de estudios aprobado, los portales de formación en línea y todos los informes necesarios al Departamento de Trabajo para garantizar el cumplimiento normativo. MAMC también colaborará con las escuelas profesionales regionales de la zona del fabricante para crear una cantera de posibles candidatos.

Todo esto se lleva a cabo gracias a una subvención federal concedida al MAMC y actualmente se ofrece sin coste alguno para el empleador.

El aprendizaje modular «Técnico en fabricación industrial» es un programa de formación estructurado de un año y medio de duración diseñado para dotar a las personas de las habilidades y los conocimientos necesarios para trabajar en entornos de fabricación modular. Este programa permite a los fabricantes ofrecer una trayectoria profesional legítima a los trabajadores de fábrica, al tiempo que mejora sus habilidades y su eficiencia.

A medida que la industria modular en Norteamérica sigue creciendo, MBI está lanzando una nueva iniciativa destinada a garantizar que contamos con una mano de obra cualificada y formada para cumplir la promesa de la construcción industrializada, según ha declarado el director ejecutivo de MBI, Tom Hardiman.

Portable Solutions Group, miembro de MBI, se convirtió en la primera empresa en inscribirse en el nuevo programa.

«Estamos orgullosos de ser los pioneros, como primer miembro de MBI en unirse al nuevo programa de formación profesional del sector», afirmó Robert Slagel, de Portable Solutions Group (una división de VitalSpace). «Formar una plantilla cualificada y crear trayectorias profesionales reales no es algo opcional, sino esencial para nuestra empresa y para el futuro de este sector».
